With the increased interest in and demand for Mopar vehicles of the Muscle Car Era, you may be pleased to discover that an organization exists which complements this situation...The COWTOWN MOPARS PERFORMANCE TEAM.
The club puts on its annual COWTOWN MOPAR ROUNDUP in the spring season each year. This event attracts many fine MOPAR vehicles from throughout the state. Past guests have included "BIG DADDY" Don Garlits with his dragster that is now on display in the Smithsonian, "DANDY" Dick Landy, Grady Bryant, Rick Grape with the Lindamood COLOR ME GONE Plymouth, and the first public appearance of the Rick Grape restored RAMBUNCTIOUS funny car, which was owned and driven by Ft. Worths own Gene "SNOWMAN" Snow in the 60's.
Members of The COWTOWN MOPARS also participate in many other events, including the annual MOPAR NATIONALS, the TEXAS MUSCLE CAR CLUB CHALLENGE Drag Race series which are held throughout TEXAS and OKLAHOMA, The NATIONAL MUSCLE CAR ASSOCIATION National Drag Race series held all over the U.S., and numerous car show events both locally and regionally, including the CAR CORRAL display at the annual STATE FAIR OF TEXAS. Many individual trophies have been received at these events, not to mention that many COWTOWN MOPARS members vehicles have been featured in nationaly known automotive publications.
Although ownership of a Chrysler Corporation vehicle is NOT a requirement for membership in The COWTOWN MOPARS PERFORMANCE TEAM, many members own more than one vintage Chrysler vehicle in addition to newer vehicle(s) for daily transportation. This blending of the "old" and "new" Chrysler Corporation tends to reinforce our commitment to the Chrysler (MOPAR) marques. The COWTOWN MOPAR PERFORMANCE TEAM welcomes owners and enthusiasts of ALL CHRYSLER built/powered vehicles and ALL AMERICAN MOTORS built/powered vehicles, including cars, trucks and SUV's.
