Our car is a 1963 Plymouth Savoy two door post car. We bought it on my birthday in 1993. It was an original six cylinder standard shift car with 90,000 miles on the odometer. We drove the car for a few weeks that way before I changed it over to a 440 with push-button automatic. Jeannie and I have always enjoyed the car and put many miles on it on the street.
In March this year I was asked to make some exhibition passes at Texas Raceway for their 40th Anniversary Celebration. The cars best time at the track was at a Muscle Car Club Challenge at the Texas Motorplex this year with an 11.48 E.T. at 117 M.P.H. with a 7.28 eighth mile time. That was on D.O.T. street tires and through the mufflers with NO BOTTLE.
We hope to have this car for a long time as we don’t know of any other car we would rather have. Isn’t that how we all should feel about our Mopars?
NOTE: Apparently, he did find a car he'd rather have. He recently sold this one to Mike Sonnamaker and is now working on a 1965 Plymouth Satellite
