Don Tolsdorf's '69 GTX

"Scorch" came to live with Don and Edna Tolsdorf on July 15, 2000. After many months of searching through various sources and even a fruitless weekend road trip to Silver City, New Mexico, we were looking at a "free" kitten (who also came to live with us and has also brought us a lot of joy) when the subject of classic cars came up. That was the source we needed to find our new "baby" who was waiting for us in Irving, Texas!!! She was already restored to her present condition by the previous owner, who was happy to sell her to someone who would really care for and appreciate a "muscle car" as much as he did.

Scorch is a 1969 GTX, 440 4-bbl, 727 auto. w/shift kit, and has front disc brakes. The paint is scorch red with a black vinyl top and black and red interior. Even though Scorch is not restored to original specs, it has brought us a LOT of fun at red lights, just cruising around and even a few car shows. When asked once at a red light if we were interested in selling Scorch for a profit on the spot, Don told the other driver that he would need to talk to our kids because we would never sell the car and it would eventually belong to them!!!! This past year has been a lot of fun and we look forward to many more as owners of a Mopar Muscle Car and as members of the Cowtown Mopar Club!!!
