Stumpy's 1974 Big Block Scamp
I started out to build a fast daily driver and I just couldn't stop. I found
this car, and the 65 c-body that gave up it's drive train, at the police auction.
I am now running a stock block 383 with 516 heads (porting and valve work done
by Gene Quick and block prep done by Les Adams), flattop pistons, torker
intake, 750 Holley, Heddman headers, summit cam (Mopar 292-509 is going in). 727
trans with a cheetah reverse manual valve body and a 3000 stall converter. 8 3/4 "
suregrip with 4.56 gears. All assembly was done by me with some wife type help.
Happily after two full race seasons I haven't had a major failure yet ( stupid
electrical troubles).
