Kelly Hilla’s 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger
After wanting a Swinger exactly like this for my entire life I finally acquired this clone about 8 yrs ago I acquired the car with a 318, 4 spd, 4 bbl, factory a/c, cruise control, power, trunk lock, front & rear sway bars the works. I drove the car daily for 5 years getting 19 mpg cruising in comfort. Including hauling the family to the Woodward cruise and back 4 yrs ago.
I bought my 98 RAM SS/T a few years back and decided to throw a little power into the Swinger since I didn’t need it for a daily driver anymore. It now has a Mopar Performance 360 short block. Gene Quick Motorsports did the heads, Edlelbrock Performer RPM intake & Performer series carb. Mike Hanson did the rebuild on the 833 Trans & 8.75 rear.
It’s not the fastest or the prettiest but I don’t think I could ever own a car that would give me more pleasure than this little Swinger has.
