Thanks to my wife, Sheila, for the best 40th birthday present a guy could ask for!
In 2001, I attended the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, and saw the ‘Cuda for sale. I
had hauled a ‘70 V-code back—halfed ‘Cuda project to sell, and realizing it was going
back home with me, there was no way to complete the purchase on site. It was 3 weeks
later, and we made the trip to St. Louis to purchase the car, and brought it home the
week before 9/11.
We’ve had a lot of fun with the car, and always try to keep it running and driving.
There are plans for a proper restoration & update to the drive train, but no firm timetables
have been made. Having a driver that you don’t fuss over has its advantages! The
color is probably the biggest shocker, because Sheila’s is the purple ‘72, and I drive the
Pink (Moulon Rouge) one!!
