Sox & Martin 1967 Plymouth GTX

1967 Plymouth GTX

After a brief stint in the early funny cars, the Sox & Martin team went back to their roots.... Super Stock. This is the car that was taken to dealerships for their performance seminars and the car he won the 1967 NHRA Spring Nationals and US Nationals in. Powered by a Jake King built 426 Hemi, this was the car to beat in Super Stock during the 1967 racing season. During his career, driver Ronnie Sox won 5 national championships and 46 national events.

Ronnie Sox lost his battle with prostrate cancer in April 2006.

Buddy Martin is still active today racing with Bob Panella in Pro Stock.

Thanks to both for giving us the guidance and desire to follow in their footsteps and race Mopars!
