About eight years ago a friend told me that Chevrolets are bad for your health. He quickly informed me that the only thing that could help me was to find a Mopar and buy it fast. Eight years later I have owned a dozen Mopars and am almost over the sickness. The problem is like most remedies, they can be addicting and my cure is of the Mopar kind. I am an addict but at least I have taken the first step of admission. Being of the Christian faith my wife has informed me that the friend who introduced me to Mopars is most likely “satan” in the flesh. I wont mention his name as he is a charter member of the club (Bryan Carpenter).
Short of the story is, we are now enthusiast of Mopars and would not have it any other way. We bought this car almost six years ago from a club member, it was mostly in pieces and the plan was to restore it back to a numbers matching GTX. I was not in a position to have both a restored driver and a racecar and I am a racer at heart. The only solution was to have the best of both worlds and wrap it into one package. The result is a 1967 NSS GTX. It should be a lot of fun and hopefully a competitive car for the club. I owe a lot of thanks to a lot of people for guidance, help and support. First and most important my wife, for letting me spend the little money we had and the money we did not have to build it. Joe Siefkas of Blue Mound Automotive for excellent paint, body and automotive help (and a great friend too). Les Adams for building a ground ripping engine and transmission ( One of the better people I have met). Bryan Carpenter for turning me on to Mopars and endless accounts of support of all kinds (Both an enemy and a friend ha..ha..ha..99.9% friend). And last but not least every Cowtown Mopars Club member for the great fellowship and good times. Thanks to you all!
