Stan Bradshaw's 1979 'Lil Red Express

1979 'Lil Red Express

I purchased my 1979 Lil’ Red Express in August, 2002. Many fellow CMPT club members have seen the truck run at the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge Races a consistent 8.50s with a best of 8.37 in the 1/8th mile. The truck has gone from ‘ugly duckling’ to ‘Bright Shiny Red’, with new wood throughout the truck, including the bed.

I’d like to thank my wife for putting up with another toy, and of course my friends that have helped me throughout the process! I have even taken on the role of Santa this past year for the Club!

So many friends have driven the truck, but here’s the list: Gene Quick, ‘Flash’, Bill Boone, Mike Miller, Mickey Roone, my brother—Gary Bradshaw, and maybe a few others…...

The ‘Bottom Line’ - owning a Mopar truck, new or old, show or a driver, is a lot of fun. It’s a great hobby that involves sharing time, stories, and meals with friends and family. I continue to enjoy the truck and the friendship with everyone at Cowtown Mopars!

Mopar to y’all! Stan Bradshaw
