In 1966 I raced a 66 Coronet, that car, a 383 was undefeated in NHRA D/Stock
Automatic and AVRA Formula 6 D/Stock Automatic, posting seventy-seven class wins
in a row between the two sanctioning bodies.
When I had a chance to trade for this car in 1992 I grabbed it. Yes! It’s
still a work in progress (as seen in the pictures above). From the original lite tan to VERY RED, with minor body work, and no rust was accomplished by Marty Logan’s House of Color in Dallas, TX. The interior, pearl white with black carpet and trim is from The Paddock. Most of the rubber has been replaced as well. The engine will one of our 440 S/S (Street/Strip) packages. A 727 Torqueflite and 4.10 rearend help set the Weld Rodlites and BFG radials into motion.
I would like to thank Billy Gittings, an employee at my shop for so much help. I would also like to thank my fellow members of the Cowtown Mopar Club, especially “The Race Team” for lighting a fire under me to finish this Show-N-Go project.
Thanks Everyone!
Race, Showing, & Cruising to follow SOON!!
